Staff

        Tom is a native San Diegan who grew up in Santee and graduated in 1983 from San Diego State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. He began his career as a staff accountant with West, Johnston, Turnquist and Schmitt. Tom received his Certified Public Accountant's license in California in 1986. In 1987, he joined his partner Rulon Jenson to start the accounting and tax firm of Abbas, Jenson & Cundari.

         Tom has served on the board of directors for several nonprofit organizations in San Diego including America's Finest City Softball League, GSDBA Charitable Foundation, San Diego Industrial Recreation Council, and Special Delivery San Diego.

         Tom has extensive experience working with medical practices, real estate agents, Attorneys, home owners associations, and nonprofit organizations.

Rulon Jenson, CPA

       Rulon Jenson is a 1980 graduate of San Diego State University and was licensed as a CPA in Florida and California. After five years with the national accounting firm of McGladrey & Pullen, he established his own accounting practice. In 1987 he joined with Tom Abbas to create the tax and accounting firm of Abbas, Jenson & Cundari.

       Rulon is active in the community, and has served on the board of directors for several local nonprofit organizations. Most recently he was instrumental in the formation of the Aztec Warrior Foundation, a nonprofit charity dedicated to the restoration of the Aztec Warrior as the mascot at San Diego State University.

Chris Cundari, CPA

       A San Diego native, Chris grew up in East County and graduated from California State University at Fullerton with an Accounting Degree in 1989.

       Chris began his career in the fall of 1989 as an auditor with one of the "Big-Eight" accounting firms, Coopers & Lybrand. After working for three plus years with this large accounting firm, Chris wanted to get back into the small firm atmosphere as he had done part-time during college. In January, 1993, Chris joined partners Tom & Rulon at Abbas, Jenson & Cundari.

       Chris specializes in personal income tax preparation and tax planning for individuals. Additionally, Chris enjoys working with small businesses, such as sole proprietors, corporations, partnerships, and limited liability companies with their accounting, tax preparation, and tax planning needs.

       Chris is a member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants as well as the Greater San Diego Business Association.

Jeremy Dutson, CPA

       Jeremy Dutson was born in Delta, Utah.  The child of a military family, he moved often? living in Virginia, Washington, and finally settling in San Diego.  Jeremy attended Mira Mesa High where he graduated in the class of 1998.   

       In 2007, Jeremy interned with Abbas Jenson & Cundari.  While completing his internship, he realized that a future in accounting as a tax specialist was what he wanted to pursue.  After graduating from University of Phoenix with a Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting, he received a job offer from Abbas Jenson & Cundari, which he gladly accepted. Jeremy completed the final part of the CPA exam in November 2009 and was certified by the State of California in February 2010. 

       When not working, Jeremy enjoys spending time with his partner and their 2 French Bulldogs.  Jeremy is an active member of the community, including membership in the Greater San Diego Business Association (GSDBA) and donating his accounting skills at local charities.  Jeremy is hardworking and very focused on helping his client?s achieve the most out of their financial situations.
